Kathleen Rowland

Kathleen Rowland, BS, RN, aesthetic nurse specialist, has more than 10 years experience in patient education and aesthetic treatments using skin improving injectable products. Kathleen holds a Bachelor of Science degree with emphasis in the Biological Sciences and Psychology.

After years working as a Health Policy Analyst, Kathleen decided to change course to work on the treatment delivery side of health care. She enrolled in and completed the Nursing Doctorate program at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center, and worked as a psychiatry nurse before joining an aesthetic practice. There she began her training in skin care and laser as well as injection R.N. training. Her professional focus is in plastic surgery and aesthetic areas and she has pursued her advanced professional training with Botox Cosmetic, Juvederm, Restylane, Radiesse, Sculptra, Artefill and Sclerovein therapy.

Kathleen is a trainer for Botox Cosmetic, instructing doctors and nurses in optimum injecting techniques.

In her personal time, Kathleen has journeyed on a medical mission trip to Africa in 2006. She is a professional print and runway model and paints with both oil and watercolor, as well as sculpture—an extension of her “art” of refined injections. Kathleen also enjoys travel, road cycling, volleyball, skiing and reading.

Ashley Ackerson

Ashley is a Paramedical Aesthetician and Marketing Coordinator at Dr. Ben Lee Plastic Surgery. She brings over eight years of experience in the aesthetic industry and is Certified in Microdermabrasion, Advanced Chemical Exfoliation, Dermaplaning, IPL Intensive Light Photofacial as well as multiple certifications in Laser Rejuvenation, Laser Resurfacing and Laser Hair Removal. Ashley specializes in the latest treatments to correct adult acne, hyperpigmentation and skin elasticity and collagen renewal techniques. She will offer your first initial consultation at no charge and will customize a treatment plan according to individualized needs. She continuously takes courses and educates herself in the latest skincare treatment trends.

Ashley is also Permanent Makeup Certified from the International Institue of Permanent Cosmetics.  She uses special techniques such as hair stroke simulation to ensure the most natural enhanced look possible.

In addition to Ashley's skincare education and expertise she currently handles all of the Marketing and Advertising for Dr. Ben Lee Plastic Surgery.

Ashley is married with two children and loves to spend her free time with her family. She has a passion for travel, culture and history and has enjoyed traveling to over ten countries.

Shannon Wood

Patient Coordinator

Shannon has been in the plastic surgery industry since 2003. She will be working with you as your point of contact from the initial consultation through your procedure. Shannon enjoys working directly with the patients to make sure they are comfortable and informed from start to finish. She feels communication is the key to making sure your end result matches your expectations, and openly invites you to discuss your questions or concerns. When she’s not in the office you will find her enjoying the mountains, camping, out listening to live music, or enjoying one of Denver’s many great restaurants.

Polly McKibben,

B.S.N., Aesthetic Injection Nurse Specialist

Polly comes to this office with over 11 years of experience as an injection nurse specialist.  She has exclusively practiced aesthetic nursing since 2000.  She has extensive experience with cosmetic treatments including, Botox, Dysport and fillers such as Juvaderm , Restylane, Radiesse, Arefill.  She also treats sun damaged and aged skin utilizing the latest chemical peel and laser treatments. 

Polly became passionate about medical skin care after suffering with cystic acne and scarring for many years.  Polly has a real talent and passion for helping others, she will give you an honest and genuine evaluation and builds strong rapport with everyone of her patients.  She is an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgery Nurses and has had extensive training and education on advanced injection nursing techniques.  Polly received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from the University of Colorado.  She also has a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Iowa in Psychology, which in combination has enhanced her career.  Polly is interested in giving her patients the highest quality of care with exceptional results.

In Polly's free time she enjoys doing yoga, road biking, hiking, snowshoeing, skiing and spending time with her husband and two children.
