Perlane®, the new injectable cosmetic filler by the makers of Restylane®, is newest cosmetic filler to be introduced to market. One of the main differences between Perlane and Restylane is the particle size. Perlane has much larger particles of hyaluronic acid than Restylane, giving it an extra boost in staying power and fullness achieved. The enlarged particles break down more slowly than fillers with smaller particles, resulting in a longer life span—up to one year. Perlane’s gel particles are injected into the lower layers of the dermis and attract and bind to water molecules as they deteriorate, helping to maintain the volume and fullness initially achieved.

Taking only 30 minutes depending on the size and location treated, Perlane is truly a cosmetic filler for those with busy lives. During the treatment, pain is minimal and a topical anesthetic cream is applied to the area.
